This is the question, so we built the pack around it. Inside the printed pouch there is a vacuum-sealed inner bag. Sealed, your cupboard has no idea it is there. Once you open it, zip it shut or tip it into an airtight jar and it stays polite.

DRIED: 12 months unopened, room temperature, no fridge needed.
KICK pickles: 9 months. Dry spoon only. Refrigerate once opened and finish within 60 days.
CRUNCH: 6 months. Best eaten within a week of opening — after that it softens.

Salt is the preservative — that is the whole technology of dried fish. Every product page has a salt meter from 0 to 4 so you can pick. Rinse and soak for ten minutes before cooking and most of the edge goes. Pink Tide (prawns) is the gentlest at 1/4; Golden Nethili is the saltiest at 3/4.

Byadgi chilli is more colour than fire, so even our 4/4 is a flavourful heat rather than a punishment. Fire Coast is the hottest thing we sell. If you want zero chilli, the plain DRIED packs have none at all — you add what you like.

Rinse, soak ten minutes, pat dry, rub with chilli and turmeric, shallow fry two minutes a side. That is 90% of dried fish cooking. Every product page carries a three-step guide, and there are longer ones on Recipes.

Every pack is stamped with one. Put it into the batch tracker and you get the catch date, the landing point, which rack it dried on and the lab report when it exists.

We are not allowed to tell you, and we would rather be straight about why: under FSSAI rules a nutrition or health claim needs a NABL lab report behind it, and ours is not back yet. What we can say is factual — roasted, not fried; whole fish; nothing minced. The numbers go up the day they arrive.

Yes. Every product carries the brown non-veg mark. All of it contains fish or crustaceans — not for anyone with a seafood allergy.
